How HeartCode BLS Works
HeartCode BLS is a blended learning course — part online, part hands-on. You complete both steps to earn your AHA BLS Provider eCard.
Complete the Online Portion
Purchase and complete the HeartCode BLS online course at elearning.heart.org. Work at your own pace using interactive activities, dramatizations, and knowledge checks. The online portion costs $38 and is purchased directly from the AHA.
Schedule Your Skills Session
Once you've finished the online portion, call Blue Heart CPR & AED at 810.919.9779 to schedule your in-person skills session. The skills session fee is $50.
Pass Your Skills Test
Attend your in-person session with a certified AHA instructor. You'll practice and be tested on high-quality CPR, AED use, and other BLS skills on adult, child, and infant manikins.
Earn Your AHA eCard
Successfully complete both the online and hands-on portions to receive your AHA BLS Provider course completion eCard, valid for two years.
